Everything had been seemingly going along peacefully. I moved into my new apartment with the help of some wonderful people! Ferrell is loving the new place. I got orders for my new position. I’m able to stay in my current city, and move into a challenging position that will help my Career move forward. I was happy. Then the storm came. One thing after another started to go wrong.
With my history of self guilt and self blame. I began weathering the storm by hunkering down and asking “Why Me?”, “What did I do wrong?”. Self indulged self absorbed. No praying or going to the Word for answers.
But God whispered to me…
I’m so glad the World doesn’t revolve around me. The storm wasn’t here because of me. Sometimes things happen. I am a firm believer that each situation will teach something. It will make you stronger if you allow it too. We just can’t get caught up in the “why is this happening” mind set. Things happen, we have to cry sometimes, we have to lose those that are important to us. We have to weather the storm and if we stay anchored in Jesus we won’t drift away.
